Ashley Casto
Onboarding Manager and Support Specialist
Ashley Casto grew up in an exceedingly small town—so small that if you don’t look closely enough, you won’t see its one traffic light, one Subway, and one Speedway on an Ohio state map. She did not fit the “small town girl” mold so she decided to go to Wright State University (WRIGHT STATE, WRONG COLLEGE, OH-IO!), graduating in 2008 with a BA in women’s studies. She did not, however, pursue a career in that field, and instead began working in a field she was equally passionate about, supervising an Alzheimer’s and Dementia neighborhood in an assisted living facility where she’d previously worked as a care manager.
That era of her life was cut short as she met, fell in love with, and married a soldier in the US Army. Being a military spouse has given Ashley the opportunity to not only travel to but live in many places, including Kentucky, Hawaii, Missouri, and her current home: Tennessee. This has also come with many challenges, such as finding and maintaining a career of her own while navigating moving locations, a lack of familial support, and her spouse often being away.
In 2017, Ashley was blessed to receive the offer to work for Scott Le Roy Marketing, joining her lifelong best friend (and now SLM coworker) in a new role at a rapidly-growing company. She began her work at SLM as the quality control team’s sole checker, and as time went on and more people joined the team, Ashley was asked to take on more responsibilities outside of her role as Checking Team Supervisor and began work more closely with the Support Team. In 2019, Ashley fully transitioned the Support Team and recently stepped into the role of Onboarding Supervisor, now overseeing both the checking and setup teams, working with to ensure that our clients have the best experience possible. She is thrilled to say that this team is the best team she has ever been a part of, and is immensely proud to work with them!
Outside of work, she is a wife and a mother of two beautiful little girls, Kinlee (8) and Everly (4). In her free time she enjoys attempting to make base housing feel less like base housing, spending time with her grandmother (who relocated to Tennessee to be near Ashley and her children), spending time playing “The Great Dal Muti” with friends, shopping at TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby, going to trampoline parks and pretending she isn’t as old as she is, playing softball (for the same reasons, really), building her island on Animal Crossing (don’t laugh; this is some serious stuff), chatting with her coworkers who have become close friends, and completely adoring her babies. She has a strong passion for all things fashion and makeup, and is considered the “go-to” in her friendship circle to save a buck on both.
