Video content is a great medium to display your creativity, sell your product, and visually showcase your brand.  Video brings the product to life, and it’s a fantastic way to grab your audience’s attention. So, how do you produce high quality content your audience will enjoy? Here are four ways to create engaging video content for your brand.

1. Be professional.

Production costs don’t need to break the bank, but you also don’t want a shaky, pixelated video that will frustrate your audience. Make sure your speaker is confident and comfortable. If they’re nervous, consider doing a voice-over. Check to see if the audio quality is clear and the script conveys a message that’s easy to understand. Preparation and practice are essential. Lighting is extremely important. If you don’t have access to professional ring lights, you can always rent them. If that’s not an option, do your best with natural light. Keep your content engaging and visually pleasing. Watch, re-watch, evaluate, and reshoot if necessary.

2. Make it human.

You don’t want your video to feel like a commercial. Find unique ways to create content that entertains and informs your customers and appeals to human emotion. If your video seems forced or fake, the viewer will lose interest. Opt instead for funny, inspirational, or emotional. Your video should motivate your audience to take action, whether that means buying your product or donating to a charity.

3. Market your brand.

Your final goal might be to sell your product or service, but that shouldn’t be your only goal. Your video content should showcase and enhance your brand. It should also be used a the core representation of your company. Think about what drives you and inspires you. What principles and values does your company represent? Aim to portray your company in a positive light so that customers become more interested in your brand.

4. Make it helpful and engaging.

People are selective about how they spend their time online. They’re more frustrated with advertising than ever before. Make sure your video is helpful and engaging. Offer solutions to problems, answers to questions, and provide information that can benefit the consumer. At the same time, remember that nobody will choose to listen to your video if it’s boring. Incorporate humor, entertain, offer uplifting motivation. If you think outside of the box, you’ll be able to come up with something unique and creative.
