It’s now OK to use Facebook at work. Facebook just launched ‘Workplace,’ a new site that gives the thumbs up to use the popular social media platform while at work for work.

Workplace by Facebook is essentially a stand-alone site specifically with businesses and organizations in mind. The ad-free space features many helpful tools with one simple goal: to get more work done.

No longer is using Facebook at work looked down upon when on Workspace. Connect with your co-workers on the site using an almost identical layout as Facebook.

Here are some of the site’s helpful business features when using Facebook at work:

Unlimited file storage: Store all of your work-related photos, videos and documents in one place.

Work-appropriate Profiles: Separated from your personal Facebook profile, the site has its own organization-based profiles. Co-workers can view your contact information and other items you share with the company on your profile.

Chat: Make group discussion easy with Workplace’s voice and video calling features. This can be particularly helpful for remote workers as it connects you instantly to co-workers .

News Feed: Here’s where you’ll hear company announcements or project updates from your co-workers. You can also hear conversations among your organization, including helpful polls or articles that are work-related.

Groups: Create groups for teams, projects or task forces for your company. Start a discussion to initiate conversations, add a photo or document to get input and add co-workers.

Events: Plan company events easily. View who is coming and list the itinerary along with other helpful event details.

Search: You can easily sift through work notes and conversations with the keyword when using the search tool. You can also search within group conversations.
